kilometers South of Luang Prabang, Kuang Si Waterfall is a favorite spot for
many visitors in their trips to Laos. The falls begin in shallow pools atop a
steep hillside and then cascade down a multilevel limestone formation creating
of turquoise green water for swimming. The water from Khuang Sy
creates steps of small falls like terraced fields overlooking Mekong River.
Every year, streams of upper water supply an abundant source of seaweeds. These
weeds change the color of water into such a captivating blue jewel. For your Laos
adventure travel, the best time to visit is from November to April when
both the climate is fine for swimming and contemplating the splendid
landscapes.
